Recycling Plant
Location: Târgu Mureș, Romania
General designer: MJ Project
Surface area: 2.000 sqm
This project involved the construction of a recycling facility, designed to support the complex machinery and processes required for modern waste management and recycling operations.
The structural solution included isolated foundations, using cast-in-place concrete footings and precast sleeves. The main structure was built with precast concrete columns, prestressed precast roof beams, prestressed precast purlins, and steel bracing for the roof, providing strength and stability for the large-scale facility.
Key challenges during the project included:
Designing a 2000 sqm concrete floor without cut joints, which was necessary due to the layout of the large machinery used in the recycling process. To address this, a specialized solution with cosine profiles was implemented to ensure structural integrity and smooth operation;
Executing the installation of prefabricated columns, each with a height of 18 meters, requiring careful planning and precision during the assembly to maintain structural alignment and safety.
